ROLE OF HIGHER EDUCATION POST PANDEMIC: Helping Students Develop Self-Management Skills

In partnership with the Pruitt Center for Mindfulness and Well-Being at the University of Wisconsin –Superior, Levelhead participated in a case study for select classes in Spring and Fall 2020. The purpose of this study was to assess the acceptability of the “Learning to Thrive” content, delivered on the Levelhead digital engagement platform, as a classroom tool for improving stress, increasing student engagement, and improving focus and attention. THREE CASE STUDIES: Integrating Mindfulness-based Micro-Lessons into Higher Education

The purpose of this three-part case study was to determine the efficacy of offering mindfulness-based social/emotional learning micro lessons on a digital platform in a higher-education setting to reduce stress & anxiety, improve focus & attention, and improve student/instructor engagement. INTEGRATING MINDFULNESS INTO DISTANCE LEARNING ADULT EDUCATION

The purpose of this paper is to assess the effectiveness of a mindfulness-based digital solution as a classroom tool for improving stress, classroom engagement, and increasing focus and attention in adult learners in a distance education environment. The exploratory study involves MBA students enrolled in an online course at a large US Midwestern university. Qualitative data was collected during and after the course. Results indicate a positive reaction by students and improvements in their mindfulness, perceived stress, and engagement in their learning. READ MORE

PEARson global learner survey 2019

Pearson surveyed 11,000 learners in 19 countries and we, at Levelhead-Ed, found conclusion #7 especially interesting: “Learners believe soft skills will give them the advantage over automation. While STEM skills aren't forgotten, people realize the skills which make us uniquely human are actually the hardest to learn. Skills like creativity, originality, problem-solving and the ability to learn give humans an advantage over machines and learners say they need help mastering them.” READ MORE
